Can I speak to someone at your office before I schedule the first
visit? |
Of course! Call us at 800-869-6418 any time. We are here
to help in any way we can. |
How do I know that the Caring Companions arrive when scheduled? |
The Companions call from your family's land line when
they arrive and leave. This demonstrates that they are actually on site at the time
of the log-in and log-out for the visit. The data is posted to the CCC Control Center,
usually within a minute or two. |
How is my loved one's care plan given to Caring Companions? |
Our Client Care Coordinators will quickly get to know
your family and your loved one's particular needs. Any new Caring Companion we send
will discuss the situation prior to arriving on site. And one of the great conveniences
of the CCC Control Center is that any Caring Companion assigned to your family can
see all of the daily reports, plans of treatment, notes, and service requests by
your family. |
How do you train your Caring Companions? |
We follow the Standards of Practice for Home Care Aides
Services in Massachusetts published by the Massachusetts
Council for Home Care Aides Services. In addition, many of our Caring
Companions are already Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs),
or have other training beyond our minimum standards. Finally, every Caring Companion
is trained in our cutting-edge technology to support your family's private web portal
in the CCC System.
We continuously monitor our Companions in the field, and our Client Care Coordinators
make regular client visits to check on their satisfaction. If you have any questions
about our training, please ask your Client Care Coordinator.

Do you perform national background checks on your companions? |
Yes. We perform both state and national criminal background
checks, and we contact previous employers as part of our screening for all Caring
Companions. |
Are your companions bonded against theft? |
Yes. |
Do you accept long-term care insurance? |
Some insurance companies cover our services. However,
we bill directly to the family and the family handles the interactions with their
insurance company. |
Are your services associated with any religious denomination or
organization? |
No. We hire and serve people without regard for any religious
affiliation, and our services are non-religious in nature. |
What services are excluded by Caring Companion Connections? |
Our Companion Services Agreement, which you sign prior
to our beginning service, fully explains our services. By law, we cannot provide
medical services, including dispensing medication. However, we can provide medication
reminders and note whether a client takes medication as directed. Regarding household
services, we cheerfully handle tasks directly related to our client's needs. For
example, we will do a load of laundry for the client, but not for a house full of
people. If we make a meal, we will clean up after ourselves in the kitchen, but
we don't arrive and do an entire family's dishes from the previous evening. If you
have questions, please call us and we will try to help clarify any confusion. |

How much extra does the CCC Control Center cost? |
CCC offers the 24x7 Control Center and all its features
at no additional charge to our client families because we believe that ongoing,
real-time communication is essential to providing personalized care for your loved
one. We commit to going above and beyond your expectations. |
Do I have to use the CCC Control Center?
No. You can handle all your business with us via phone,
and you are more than welcome to call us at any time. The CCC Control Center is
offered as an added convenience for your family. Use it as much or as little as
you like. |
How do the Caring Companions get the reports and photos into the
CCC Control Center?
We use a combination of mobile and web technologies for
our services. Most CCC Companions carry smart phones like blackberries. If there
is a computer in the client's house, the family sometimes approves our use to log
the reports that way. |
Can the rest of my family also login to the CCC Control Center? |
Yes. At present we have only one login name per family,
and it must be shared among all members. However, we expect to offer multiple family
logins within 30 days. |
Can my family's health professional or social worker review the daily
reports and photos? |
Yes, but only if you give permission. Our authorized
staff has access to your records, but you are in complete control of anyone else
who sees your information. |
How do I view the daily reports and photos? |

change the Start Date and End Date at the top of the list and show the dates you
want. To the right of the visit you will see icons. Click the icon for "View
Daily Report." |
